Himes and Arora will debate in Wilton

The League of Women Voters of Connecticut will present a debate between Rep. Jim Himes (D) and candidate Harry Arora (R) for the 4th Congressional District on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Clune Center at Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road, Wilton. The debate is open to the public and admission is free.

It will be moderated by Kay Maxwell, who has served as president of both the League of Women Voters of Connecticut and of the League of Women Voters of the United States.  She recently retired as executive director of the World Affairs Forum.

The debate will be sponsored by the Connecticut League of Women Voters, and co-sponsored by the local leagues of Bridgeport, Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford, Weston, and Westport.

It will be hosted by the Wilton LWV with support from the Wilton High School Model Congress.

Both candidates will also debate foreign policy issues on Monday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the GenRe Auditorium of UConn’s Stamford campus on Washington Blvd. This event is hosted by the World Affairs Forum.
