Gov. Dannel Malloy will visit Cannon Grange in Wilton on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 7 to 7:30 p.m. His visit will be followed by a presentation by the Apple Blossom School. Both events are free and the community is welcome.
According to John Kriz of the Grange, there is no set program for the governor’s visit. “We invited him and he accepted,” Kriz said.
After the governor’s visit, Marcia Marquis and Jessica Khoshabo will give a presentation on the educational philosophy underpinning Waldorf schools, and how they implement it at Apple Blossom. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. Apple Blossom School and Family Center in Cannondale was founded in 2004 and welcomes children from birth to age 7 to engage in programs where each is given the opportunity to fully develop their physical, emotional and intellectual capabilities.
The grange is at 25 Cannon Road. Information:cannongrange.org.
