Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced this afternoon he will not seek a third term. His current term runs for another 20 months, ending in January 2019. Malloy made the announcement with his wife, Cathy, and his oldest son, Dannel, at his side, along with Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman.
Malloy began by speaking about the work the administration has done in his six years as governor to this point. “We have tried to play the long game for Connecticut,” Malloy said, pointing to improvements made in the criminal justice system, affordable housing, and other areas.
