UPDATE (4:40 p.m.) — As of 4 p.m., 2,773 ballots have been cast, representing an approximate 22% voter turnout.

Democratic Registrar of Voters Carole Young-Kleinfeld said the turnout is "kind of normal"

"It's always hard to predict the affect of contested races," she said, "but this is what we expected."

Abesentee ballots have started being processed. Young-Kleinfeld said there are about 150 of them so far, with some more possibly coming from the post office.


Before noon on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at least 1,305 voters had already cast their ballots in this year's municipal election.

By 11:25 a.m., the ballot counts at Wilton's three polling places were as follows:


  • Wilton High School: 443.

  • Cider Mill: 450.

  • Middlebrook: 412.


Polls opened at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.

District 1 votes at Wilton High School's Clune Center, 395 Danbury Road.

District 2 votes in the Cider Mill School gym, 240 School Road.

District 3 votes in the Middlebrook School gym, 131 School Road.
