Democrats will select committee members

Every two years, Wilton Democrats hold a town-wide caucus on to endorse prospective members of the Wilton Democratic Town Committee. The 2016 caucus will take place Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. in Wilton Town Hall, Room B.
Up to 30 Democrats, all serving at-large, may serve on the DTC for a twoyear term beginning March 7. All registered Democrats in Wilton are eligible to attend the caucus and vote for candidates to serve on the committee.
The Wilton DTC promotes the Democratic party by supporting candidates for municipal, state and federal office, as well as advocating for policy that supports the party's platform. Members should expect to participate by:
• Identifying and recruiting candidates to run for office,
• Raising money for the DTC and its candidates, • Working to get out the vote for Democratic candidates at every level,
• Attending monthly meetings,
• Serving on a committee,
• Committing financial and volunteer resources to the committee and its candidates.
