Hazel A. Heibeck, age 80, of Georgetown, CT, passed away Sunday, November 25th, 2018 at Danbury Regional hospice after her battle with cancer. She was born June 29th, 1938 and was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Scofield. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Wakeman. Hazel grew up in New Canaan CT until she met and married her husband Donald Heibeck on September 21st, 1957 and they were married for 60 years until his death in January 2018. Hazel was a homemaker but also worked the family business, most notably at the Heibeck\u2019s ice cream stand for many years. She was also the member of the Georgetown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for over 40 years. She is survived by her three sons Donald Jr. and his wife Catherine, William and his wife Susan, and Frederick. Besides her husband Donald, she was predeceased by a son John in 1996. She also leaves behind three grandchildren Kyle, Morgan and Devon, who always put a smile on her face every time she saw them. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown CT 06829. A Funeral Service will be held for Hazel immediately following the calling hours at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
