Gregory “Greg” Gorman, of Lafayette, Colo., died in a motorcycle accident on April 2, 2016. He was 31 years old.Greg grew up in Wilton and graduated from Wilton High School in 2003. While attending college at Lynn University in Florida, he spent summers in Colorado working as a wrangler at T-Lazy-7 Ranch in Aspen, leading horseback tours in the Maroon Bells. Greg fell in love with the West and moved to Colorado after college, where he remained for his adult life. Greg was a kind and gentle spirit who led a humble life devoted to caring for people and animals. He worked as a wrangler on several ranches, as a veterinary technician, and at a retirement community for the elderly. A loving and devoted son, brother and friend, Greg always put the well-being of others before his own. He was a bright light with a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious smile, and a natural intuition. People were drawn to Greg because he understood them; he could feel their happiness, pain and struggles, and he was always there to help those in need. Greg is survived by his parents, Dianne and Tom Gorman, his sister Alexis, and his brother-in-law Seth. In lieu of flowers or donations, the Gorman family invites you to honor Greg’s life by extending an act of kindness to an animal or person in need. A mass in remembrance of Greg will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Georgetown on Friday, July 1, at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
