Ellen Irene Stewart passed away peacefully at Regional Hospice Care in Danbury, Conn., on June 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Ellen was born in Essen, Germany. She was educated in Boston, Mass., as well as Geneva, Switzerland. Ellen moved to Wilton, Conn., with her family in 1971. She worked as a caregiver for infants at the Wilton Children\u2019s Center for 14 years. Ellen was passionate about her family and committed to her husband of 57 years, Gregory Scott Stewart. They married in 1959 and raised four children.\u00a0 Ellen is lovingly remembered by her husband Gregory, children Chery (Steve) Shea of Derby, Mark (Felicia) Stewart of Upper Brookville, N.Y., Eva (Matthew) Kibby of Monroe and Andy (Dana) Stewart of Redding. She will also be missed by her nine grandchildren: Rachel, Michael, Nicole, Matthew, Rebecca, Karli, Krista, Andrew and Alex. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, Wilton, on Saturday, July 16 at 10:30 am.
