Sharon Ann Virgulak, 54

Sharon Ann Virgulak, 54, died July 5. Ms. Virgulak was an employee of Wilton Public Library, which her family called her “dream job.”

Ms. Virgulak was born in Norwalk, the daughter of William J. Virgulak of Norwalk, and the late Ruth Caffrey Virgulak. She attended St. Jerome’s and St Phillip’s schools and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1978.

Afterwards, Ms. Virgulak graduated from Katharine Gibbs School of Business, and furthered her “life-long quest for knowledge” by graduating from University of Bridgeport with a bachelor of science in business and River College of New Hampshire with a master’s degree in human resources, her family said.

She was a longtime employee of Fujifilm as director of employee relations before working at the Wilton Public Library at the time of her death.

Her “beautiful smile and loving heart endeared her to all that she met. She loved to read, laugh and spend time with her family and her friends,” he family said.

She leaves her father William, and her five brothers, William J. II and wife, Deborah; Christopher and his wife Nancy; Scott and his wife, Marge; Joseph; and Timothy and his wife Christine. She was an “awesome” aunt to her 11 nieces and nephews and her three grand-nieces, the family said.

Ms. Virgulak also leaves behind her “aunt and uncles and her beloved cousins with whom she shared so many happy memories and friendship with from childhood and through her life,” the family said.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, July 9, at St. Jerome Church, in Norwalk. Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, handled arrangements. For online guestbook visit
