Robert Anderson Keers, age 22, a lifelong resident of Wilton, Conn., died suddenly and tragically, Sept. 28, 2015.
Born in Norwalk, Conn., Sept. 27, 1993, he was the son of Malcolm P. Keers Sr. and Nicki Davis Keers of Wilton. In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his brother Mac Keers, of New York City, and his maternal grandparents, Hilton and Pat Davis of Dallas, Texas.
Robert was a 2012 graduate of Wilton High school where he lettered in football, lacrosse and track. In football, where he played five positions, he received the Golden Shovel Award for defensive play and made the All FCIAC Second Team for Defense. He still holds a Wilton High School Record for the largest number of completed touchdown passes. Robert also excelled in lacrosse, playing on the 2011 State Championship Team. His senior year he made All FCIAC First Team, the All State Lacrosse All Star Team, and the All State Lacrosse First Team.
Robert attended the School of Business at UCONN Storrs, where he was a Finance major. He was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll and was also a Kappa Sigma Scholar. He participated in an Externship with Moody’s Corp. in New York City and internships at General Re - New England Asset Management and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company. Robert was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Finance Society. He was due to graduate this spring.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015 at 2 p.m., at the Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Road, Wilton, CT 06897.
