Marcia Spivak, age 65, a Wilton resident and nationally renowned equine sculptor, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 23, from complications from leukemia.
Her breathtaking metal horses grace atriums in New York, office buildings in Pennsylvania, hotels in Las Vegas, gardens on the Snake River, palaces in the United Arab Emirates, and the lawn of the Governor’s Mansion in Connecticut.
“Her spirit was more beautiful than her magnificent renderings,” her family said. “She dedicated her life to her family, her friends, and her art, and tried to be of loving service to everybody she met. She will be missed forever.”
She is survived by her husband Burton, her son, Ben, and her fabulous dogs, Riley and Bosco.
