Margaret Anne Kern, 87

Margaret Anne Kern, 87, of Wilton, CT, passed away peacefully at home on August 8th, 2014. She was a resident of Wilton since 1966. Margaret was born in the Bronx, New York, New York. She was pre-deceased by her two sisters, Marie McCauley and Jeanne McCrae.

Beloved Mother of Jerry Kern, of Wilton, Vincent Kern of Georgia and Victoria Kern Adams, of Maryland.

She is also survived by six Grandchildren. Katherine Adams Gonano of Maryland, Matthew J. Kern of Wilton, Brian Kern of Alabama, Christopher Adams, of Maryland, Stephen Kern of Georgia and Theresa Kern Puckett of Georgia, as well as one Great-Grandson, Austin Puckett of Georgia.

She was known for her love of books, keeping up with current events, old movies and her great sense of humor. She often mentioned her fond memories of growing up in the Bronx, New York. Margaret had previously volunteered at the Wilton Library. Her work included Bookkeeping at Studer, Incorporated, Brookfield, CT, which she retired from in 1991.

A Catholic Mass will be held on September 9th, 2014 at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton, CT. Her burial will follow immediately after the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, New York. She will be interred with her beloved Great-Grandmother, Margaret Scully.
