Elizabeth ‘Bettina’ Ferguson, 87

Elizabeth “Bettina” Ferguson died Sunday evening, Feb. 9, 2014, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital due to complications from pneumonia. She was 87.

Mrs. Ferguson was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y. where she was the third of five children for Dominic and Helen Rich. She graduated from Skidmore College in 1948 and married James L. Ferguson in 1950 and raised a family of three children first in Cincinnati, Ohio and then in Wilton, living on Middlebrook Farm Road for 20 years. Her family would especially like to thank Martha Burton, Mrs. Ferguson’s caregiver for the last 17 years. In addition, her niece, Lauri Rich of Lyme, N.H., served as a constant source of companionship.
