Dorothy Irene Wuest Le Page, of Wilton, CT passed away peacefully on June 1, 2014 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy was born on September 23, 1918 and raised in Nutley, New Jersey. She was a talented athlete who played basketball and volleyball at Montclair State Teachers’ College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1940. Dorothy met her future husband Roch in 1938 while spending her junior year abroad at the University of Dijon, France.
During WW II, Dorothy worked at Western Electric as a junior engineer. On Dec. 29th, 1943 Dorothy married Jean Roch Le Page, Jr. and they settled in New Jersey. In 1960, they moved their family to Connecticut. While raising her family, Dorothy worked as an assistant to Alvin Toffler when he was writing Future Shock. Dorothy taught foreign language for twenty-five years in the Wilton school system, earning her Master’s Degree in 1979.
