Letter: Wilton softball thank you

To the Editors:

On this past Election Day, Nov. 8, we, the Wilton High School softball team, held a bake sale outside the field house to raise funds for equipment and training. Arriving to set up with some of the early voters at 6:15 a.m. and staying into the darkness right before the polls closed, this bake sale proved to be a big win for our program. Not only did we sell nearly all the baked goods the team contributed, but this also provided us with key team bonding time before our season starts in March.

We would like to thank the whole community for their support and would like to acknowledge the local merchants that supported our efforts with products and gift cards: Coffee Barn, Connecticut Coffee and Grill, Caraluzzi’s Market in Georgetown, Stop & Shop and Costco.

With everyone’s generous contributions, we will make this a season never to forget!
