Letter: Wilton Playshop thanks Acoustic Wilton

To the Editors:

On Sunday, June 8, Acoustic Wilton helped celebrate the end of Wilton Playshop’s 77th season and their fifth anniversary by performing a benefit concert to a sold-out crowd at The Wilton Playshop. All proceeds were donated to The Wilton Playshop, which is a non-for profit organization.

This extraordinary group of local adult and student singer/songwriter/musicians, led by Scott Weber, filled the theater with folk, pop, bluegrass, adult contemporary, R&B and originals. The passion and heart each performer delivered was remarkable and inspirational. We were so honored to have this group back on our stage and thank them for their continued contributions to The Wilton Playshop and the Wilton community.

Acoustic Wilton is a group of Wilton musicians and singers who volunteer their time and talents to raise money and build awareness for Wilton-based causes. They also support the Wilton Education Foundation with performances and CDs to raise funds to distribute to the arts programs at the four Wilton schools.
