Letter: Troop 125 says, ‘Thank you, Wilton’
Boy Scout Troop 125 would like to say thank you to all of the Wilton townspeople who supported our Holiday Wreath Sale fund-raising efforts this year! Through your generosity, the Scouts raised money to help fund camping trips, purchase new equipment and attend leadership development courses.
The troop additionally collected donations for the annual special recognition project. Wilton townspeople’s overwhelming generosity once again allowed Troop 125 to decorate the Veterans Memorial Green with Scout wreaths. On behalf of the town, the wreaths were gratefully received by Second Selectman Hal Clark, state Rep. Gail Lavielle and state Sen. Toni Boucher this past Saturday. The troop also purchased 130 wreaths that have been placed on the graves of service men and women laid to rest in Wilton’s Hillside Cemetery.
In addition to thanking the great people of Wilton, the troop would like to especially thank our special Wilton business friends — the Village Market and Orem’s Diner, who graciously welcomed us and allowed us to sell wreaths at their stores. We wish you peace and joy and a safe holiday season.
