To the Editors:
On behalf of the Wilton Education Foundation, thank you to all those who supported our schools and community by volunteering, sponsoring, donating to, and, of course, running the Get Smart for Wilton 5K race this past Sunday. Some 360 runners of all ages enjoyed a beautiful sunny day and a festive atmosphere, beginning and ending the run at Wilton’s Memorial Field. I was particularly impressed this year by the number of families running and walking together, and the many young runners speeding through the course. Lyla’s Sol Sisters running group deserves special thanks for their tireless efforts organizing this event, securing donations and sponsors, and making sure everything happened enjoyably and professionally on race day.
