To the Editors:

Last weekend the Wilton Library Association held it’s annual Awesome Autumn Book Sale, which was a huge success! The success of our book sale begins with the vast quantity and good-quality donations made throughout the year by our community. In addition, the sale would not be possible without our army of hard-working volunteers who begin preparing months ahead of time.

We wish to thank and acknowledge: the library book sorters who spend the entire year sorting and pricing books in the book cellar; our volunteer cashiers who took time out of their busy weekend to help us sell the books; Wilton Boy Scout Troop 20 for helping with tear-down; Village Market for donating the paper bags; the amazing WLA staff, Board of Trustees, and custodial staff who worked behind (and in front of) the scenes to make it all happen; and last but not least, the people of Wilton and the surrounding towns (and states) who came out on a gorgeous autumn weekend to support us.

Please mark your calendars for our Holiday Book Sale in the Gallery beginning Nov. 22, and our Gigantic Book Sale April 23-26, 2017. In the meantime, we are happy to accept your donations of books, CDs, DVDs, records, and electronic games (that are in good condition). Just drive up to our donation bins outside on the south side of the library.

Your donations and purchases help support the wonderful programs and collections (for all ages) offered and open to all at Wilton Library.
