Letter: Successful craft show, thanks to many
To the Editors:
The Wilton Rotary Club thanks the Wilton community for its help in securing the success of our 26th Annual Craft Show, which took place the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend on the Wilton Town Green. More than $4,000 was raised, all for charity.
Our special thanks for our primary sponsors Bouton Funeral Home, the Wilton Eye Center, Gregory & Adams P.C., MCL Ventures, Realty Seven, Sun Products Corporation and Paul’s Prosperous Printing LLC, and also to our many “secondary” sponsors from the business community, who purchased advertisements in our event program.
Thanks also to our friends in the media — The Wilton Bulletin, Good Morning Wilton and the Wilton Villager — which provided free publicity, and to all those who gave us permission to put yard signs in front of their homes.
We are also grateful to Stop & Shop, which furnished donuts for the crafters, volunteers and shoppers at no charge for at least the 10th consecutive year.
Our thanks to First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice and all the department heads in the town of Wilton who provided us with the necessary permits; Tom Thurkettle at the Department of Public Works for arranging for the electrician to stop by at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday to ensure we had power; and to Paragon Realty for the enthusiastic cooperation and assistance of its personnel, especially Ms. Joan Dudziec.
And most of all, thanks to the patrons of our vendors who did their holiday shopping in May, once again. Your patronage of our crafters helps insure that they will come back next year.
