Letter: Specifics needed on pond chemicals
To the Editors:
Regarding: ‘Horseshoe improves, but needs support.’
Not for the first time, we are told that herbicides will be used on the pond. However, there has never been detail about the specific product being used. And while there are biologies which are currently deemed “safe,” there are also products — which have been widely used for decades — containing glysophate. And that chemical has recently been identified as hazardous to the environment.
Without specifics, the article is incomplete, and does not enable Wiltonians to make an informed determination regarding the fate of the pond!
