Letter: Solution to power outages is to bury the lines

To the Editors:

I’m totally opposed to any rate hikes in our electric bills. Performance of the utility company over the past five years has been abysmal and the money wasted in tree trimming is a joke. Get a real clue and bury the power lines so we don’t have to suffer weeks-long power outages. Rates are too high now and are a burden that would be increased due to poor management and lack of foresight.

It’s time for the utilities to be responsive to the customers rather than pandering to the legistature.
