Letter: Second-grade picnic thank-you
To the Editors:
Last Friday, the second grade enjoyed a special day as they celebrated the end of their time at Miller-Driscoll with the annual Second Grade Picnic. We had an amazing day weather wise, and everyone had a great time.
We are so thankful to so many for everything they did to make the day a success. Our parent volunteers supervised the classes during a laser show by Prismatic Magic and enthusiastically ran games on a gorgeous spring day. Our volunteers were treated to breakfast from CT Coffee & Grill and Starbucks. Lunch was donated from Caraluzzi's. The Village Market generously donated popsicles the children enjoyed while dancing to the music of DJ Leigh Henry. Stop & Shop ensured our children were well hydrated with lots of waters.
Joyce Healy guided us throughout the months of preparation and along with Willie Hostos helped us navigate the school. Skip Ploss and Bryan Ennis did an amazing job of uploading our slideshow so all the parents at home could enjoy this special part of the day. We owe a very special thank you to Karen Morneau, local photographer, who came to take the first picture of the class of 2026! This provided a wonderful memory that was a gift to the school as well as a keepsake for each child at the end of the day.
Wilton is a wonderful place to live and our second graders enjoyed an amazing day thanks to so many people in this special town!
