Letter: Please join Saturday's cleanup effort

To the Editors:

Wilton is a beautiful place to live. Keeping it that way requires that we all pitch in to keep our roads, sidewalks, and open spaces litter-free. So please join your fellow Wiltonians on Saturday from 9 to noon for the Annual Townwide Community Cleanup. Each year, after the snow has melted but before the leaves and groundcover have blossomed, we take the opportunity to work together to pick up the litter that has accumulated around town during the fall and winter months.

The Conservation Commission welcomes the participation of individuals, families and groups. We’ll meet at 9 at the gazebo on the Town Green, where work gloves and trash bags will be available. We’ll provide you with suggested sites for cleanup, and a Dumpster will be available for you to dispose of what you collect. Pinocchio’s Pizza is generously supporting our efforts by providing a coupon for a free slice of pizza for each volunteer!

Please join us for some fresh air and town beautification on Saturday morning. Your participation is greatly appreciated! If you have questions beforehand, please call the Conservation Commission office at 203-563-0180.

Thank you in advance.
