Letter: Nursing agency is thankful for donations

To the Editors:

On Friday, March 7, Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County participated in the first annual Fairfield County Giving Day — a 24-hour online fund-raising drive created by Fairfield County Community Foundation as an initiative to increase philanthropy throughout Fairfield County.

Donations made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will help provide home health and hospice care to patients and families in need and we are most grateful for this support. Contributions made on Fairfield County Giving Day also served to enter Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County into the running for grants and awards from Fairfield County Community Foundation, Bank of America, and other sponsoring organizations and individuals.

Fairfield County Giving Day raised more than $618,229 for 258 nonprofit organizations across Fairfield County. Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County extends its heartfelt thanks to Fairfield County Community Foundation, Bank of America, and all those who sponsored Fairfield County Giving Day; and wishes to express its deepest gratitude to those who so generously donated to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County and made this initiative a great success.
