Letter: No mandate on Miller-Driscoll

To the Editors:

The vote difference 979 For and 952 Against is a difference of 2.8% below the typical 3% margin of error in any statistical sampling. In short, it’s a tie. Clearly, there is no mandate to complete this project. If this were Shark Tank, the entrepreneur would not get the money.

Either there are serious questions raised about the scope of the project or the proponents have not made their case convincingly to garner adequate support. Let’s get this right before we spend $50 million ($44 net with state support).
