Letter: Many make wreath festival a huge success

To the Editors:

Woodcock Nature Center staff would like to express our thanks to all who participated in making our annual Wreath Festival fund-raiser a huge success.

Over 900 participants attended our 2015 Ladies’ Nights, Not Just Ladies’ Night and Family Day between Dec. 1 and 12; decorating fresh balsam wreaths with beautiful natural dried materials while supporting environmental education.

Thank you to our event sponsors: Fairfield County Bank, GT Bicycles, Reliance Merchant Services, Russell’s Carpet, Village Market and Wilton Hardware.

Thank you to the following local businesses and individuals for donating items and gift certificates to our raffle: Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut, Dr. Elihu Rosen, Ridgefield Pet, Young’s Nurseries, Mint Nails of Wilton, Joy Ride Cycling Studio, Ridgefield Running Company, The Barre Studio, The Salon Lea Lauren, Luc’s Café, Bailey’s Backyard, Little Pub, Cielo, Terra Sole, Portofino, Pinocchio Pizza.

Lastly, this event would not have been a success were it not for our valued volunteers and staff.

Thank you to the individuals who collected and donated dried materials, created handmade bows, prepped wreaths and staffed the event. Special thanks to the mother – daughter teams of the National Charity League and the boys and girls of Lions’ Heart for their assistance!

We appreciate the time and talent of all who helped Woodcock fulfill its mission of providing quality environmental education to the community.
