Letter: Horseshoe Pond responds to treatment

To the Editors:

I want to thank the generous residents of Wilton who have donated funds to help us clean up Horseshoe Pond. The lilies have had their first treatment, and for those of you who are worried about the wildlife, the frogs are still croaking and the birds are still visiting. The aquatic herbicide that was used becomes inert after 24 hours and is safe for all the living things in the pond. I hope you have all seen how wonderful it looks! Please take a moment to visit and appreciate this lovely spot at the southern end of Wilton Center.

Please don’t forget us; the process will continue.
