Letter: Flower show support led to great success

To the Editors:

The Wilton Garden Club extends sincere thanks to the many people who attended and organizations which supported our “Timeless Gatherings” Flower Show and Gala, making both a tremendous success!

We thank our host, the Wilton Historical Society, our 27 tireless committee chairs, the many talented floral designers, gardeners, photographers, and flower show judges who participated; Pamela Wertz/W Design Studio for graphics; program advertisers; Tea Service sponsors —  Candlewood Roasters, Marcus Dairy, Millstone Farm, Simpson & Vail Teas, and the Village Market; also, Paul’s Prosperous Printing; Wilton Dial-a-Ride; and the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department.

Our gala was a benefit to continue preservation efforts at historic Old Town Hall, c. 1832, which the Garden Club has cared for since the 1930s. The funds raised will go to ongoing maintenance and other future projects, such as energy-efficiency updates, refurbishment of the kitchen and baths, grounds improvements, and security upgrades.

Special thanks to The Well Catering; Corey Lewin Music; Senior Girl Scouts Troop #50153; and silent auction contributors, including Cactus Rose, Cannondale Generators, Nod Hill Soap, Open House, Outdoor Sports Center, River Road Gallery, Signature Style, and Wilton Jewelers; also, Rob Sanders of Rob Sanders Architects for ongoing architectural consulting for Old Town Hall, and the William and Karen Tell Foundation.

Thank you, Wilton, for your generosity!
