Letter: Doug Bogan is a hit at Trackside

To the Editors:

Last Friday night, after Storm Hercules had blanketed Wilton with a large snowfall, Doug Bogan came home to Trackside to perform for one last time.

Bogan, a recent graduate of Bucknell University, is a nationally recognized electronic mashup artist who performs all over the country. Doug got his start at Trackside, serving on the student government board as president during his days at Wilton High School.

Over 220 high school teens braved the frigid weather to come out and hear Kenny P as the opening act, and then Bogan himself.

I want to thank Peg Koellmer and Realty Seven, as well as Wilton resident and Trackside board member Mike Jones, for their generous sponsorship towards the event.

Trackside will be holding its annual appeal beginning this month, with all donations going to support the teen center as a safe, drug- and alcohol-free destination for Wilton’s teens. This event netted over $3,500 towards that mission.

Thank you again to Doug Bogan, Ken Pokora, Mario Baggio, Ryan Amodei, Jack House, and the hundreds of teens that came out for such a great night.
