Letter: Art in Bloom — a community success
To the Editors:
On behalf of the Wilton Garden Club, we would like to thank the Wilton community for joining us at our recent Flower Show, Art in Bloom, held in the charming and historic Old Town Hall. Without the generous support of so many individuals and organizations, we could not have hosted this event.
Thank you to all of our very dedicated, talented and hardworking club members (and their spouses and children) who worked so tirelessly to make this event successful. Thanks also to our artists for lending us their original art to serve as the inspiration for the floral designs: Jack Disbrow, Leslie Giuliani, Daryl Hawk, Drew Klotz, Julie Leff, John Maurer and Toby Michaels. We also want to thank our National Garden Club judges for their time and thoughtful expertise in judging the show.
Without the financial support of our program advertisers and sponsors, we could not have hosted this event. We hope everyone will patronize the following generous local businesses and merchants: Amy’s Arts of Healing, Bankwell, Blue Star Bazaar, Elizabeth Boscaino at Halstead, Bruce’s Flower Shop, Cannondale Generators, Chestnut Electric, Christmas Barn, Conservatory of Dance, Linus Cooke of Merrill Lynch, Copia Home and Garden, Curbside Compost, Cynthia Alexander Designs, Designs by Anita, Devan Chevrolet-Buick of Wilton, Dynamic Edge Physiotherapy, Earth Garden, Ed’s Garage Doors, Fairfield County Bank, Jean Forte Vintage Gifts, Glen Gate Company, The Greens at Cannondale/Wilton Meadows Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Hamar Laser Instruments, Hoffman Landscapes, Jane Kistler – LCSW/Psychotherapist, Lemon Dahlia Flowers, Local Soul, Claire Matzke at Halstead, Meadow Ridge, NAPA Auto Parts Plus, Norwalk River Watershed Association, Open House Gift Shop, Pastry Hideaway, Paul’s Prosperous Printing, Peggy Garbus Photography, The Pilates Advantage, Realty Seven, Ring’s End, River Road Gallery, Rob Sanders Architects, Signature Style, Suzanne Saltzman, Servco Oil & Propane, Start Simple Yoga, Sweet Pierre’s, Town Green Tailoring, Trax Fitness, Westy Self Storage, William Pitt/Sotheby’s International Realty, Wilton Hardware, Witchy Poo Accessories, Valerie Wyman at Raveis, and the Village Market.
