To the Editors:
Wilton will hold its 2015 Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 5, at Middlebrook School at 7:30 p.m. Voting takes place immediately after the meeting and will continue on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the WHS Clune Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
If you are unable to appear in person during all voting hours — on both Tuesday and Saturday — eligible voters may qualify to cast an absentee ballot, in person only, at the office of  Wilton’s town clerk, starting on Wednesday morning, May 6, 2015 through May 8, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
As a reminder, eligible voters must be U.S. citizens, 18 or older, and either registered to vote or resident or nonresident property owners with property assessed at $1,000 or more, as included in the Grand List as of Oct. 1, 2014.  Voters may not apply for or cast an absentee ballot for another voter, nor is there any provision in Connecticut law for voting by proxy or power of attorney.
For more information on absentee voting, contact Wilton Town Clerk Lori Kaback at 203-563-0106. Unsure whether you’re registered? Check the Secretary of the State’s Voter Registration Look-up Site www.dir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx.
