Letter: A 'sweet-16th' Ambler Farm day!

To the Editors:

On Sunday, Sept. 25, we celebrated our 16th Annual Ambler Farm Day. Thousands from our community came to this annual festival that has become a wonderful Wilton autumn tradition.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our amazing volunteers who made Ambler Farm Day a success — from scarecrows to hay maze to concessions and everything in between. It was great to work with you, thank you! Thank you also to our volunteers who made pies and other baked goods.

We would like to thank our Farmer-level event sponsors, Fairfield County Bank, Good Morning Wilton and The Montessori School.

We would also like to thank the following businesses, organizations and individuals for their generous support: Aspetuck Apple Barn, Blue Jay Orchards, Bob’s Your Uncle Band, Naked Greens, Fran LeBarron, Jared Silbersher, Kuss Farms, Stateline Landscaping, The Painted Cookie, College Creamery, Wilton Pony Club, Bob Russell, Town and Country, Town of Wilton, Uncle Leo’s, Village Market, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Wilton Department of Public Works, Wilton Family Y, Wilton Fire Department, Wilton Historical Society and Wilton Parks and Recreation.

Last but not least, a special thanks to Program Director Kevin Meehan, Director of Agriculture Jonathan Kirschner, and Executive Director Robin Clune. This event could not happen without the countless hours you all spend sharing your time and talents with the farm.

A final thanks to everyone who came out and attended Ambler Farm Day. We hope you had a wonderful time, and that we see you again soon! Ambler Farm is your farm.  We're open to the public from dawn until dusk 365 days a year.
