Letter: A study in how not to govern

To the Editors:

What is stunning is Brennan, Dubow and McFadden agreed/voted to authorize signing these contracts despite Turner's deceit. Turner and the building committee told them and the town that we needed to approve the contracts “immediately” since remediation/abatement was to start during the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.  However, Turner's own schedule had that work starting next year. Arrogance trumped transparency hopefully for the last time! Now the Board of Finance, Board of Selectmen and Board of Education have to figure out how to pay for this elephant without increasing taxes.

The civics program at the high school should use this M-D issue as a case study in how not to govern. Those involved should be barred from participating in any and all future construction projects.
