Letter: A big thank you for a successful book sale
To the Editors:
Even though it felt like summer, the Wilton Library Association held its annual Awesome Autumn Book Sale Sept. 23-25, which was a huge success!
It takes a village, so we would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who helped make it happen. Thank you to all of the people who donated and purchased books, CDs, and DVDs; thank you to our book sorters who spend all year working tirelessly sorting through, pricing and organizing the books in our Book Cellar; to the custodians and the rest of the amazing library staff for helping in too many ways to mention; to the ABC Boys & Girls who helped with set-up; to Boy Scout Troop 20 for helping with tear-down; to Village Market for donating bags and balloons; to our volunteers who worked during the book sale as greeters, cashiers, and shelf straighteners; and finally, thank you to all of you for your continued support of Wilton Library. Fund-raisers such as the book sales make it possible for Wilton Library to provide wonderful programs, materials, and services for all ages.
Visit us at our Holiday Book Sale in the lobby beginning Nov. 30 through Jan. 3. Selected books also are for sale throughout the year in the lobby, and “save the date” for our Gigantic Book Sale, April 21-24, 2018. Donations of new and gently used books, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks can be deposited in our donation bins on the south side of the library. Thank you!
