To the Editor:
Just because you repeat something again and again doesn’t make it true. The Republican candidates for Board of Education in Wilton are spreading the “word” that the Democrats in town are in favor of school regionalization and ceding control to Hartford. I know our candidates well, and that is simply false. Deborah Low, Pam Ely and Nicola Davis are superbly qualified candidates for the BOE. They believe in maintaining and improving excellence of the Wilton school system, they do believe in transparency, and they have the organizational and leadership skills we need to bring about positive change in these challenging times. They do not favor regionalization of our schools or having control vested in any entity other than our locally elected leaders. Oh, and they are also nice, your neighbors, and have spent their countless hours volunteering to make our schools better. I guess the Republicans would rather hide behind a “mask” of rhetoric rather than really debate the issues. To elect candidates for the BOE, who will listen, and then lead, vote for Deb, Pam and Nicola. Vote Row A on November 2nd.
