Farewell ‘Mr. Sam,’ ‘Doctor Pond’ from the Woodcock Nature Center on the Wilton, and the Ridgefield border

It is bittersweet that we say goodbye for now to one of Woodcock's beloved educators, Sam Nunes. “Mr. Sam” or “Doctor Pond” as he is affectionately known, will be moving on to other endeavors in the new year. He'll be going back to school to study nutrition (another passion of his). Sam Nunes has been the environmental educator at the Woodcock Nature Center. The Woodcock Nature Center is located at 56 Deer Run Road on the Ridgefield, and Wilton border. Sam Nunes is shown.

His contribution to our organization has been incredible, and his passion for sharing nature with our families, and friends will be missed. We know Mr. Sam has meant a great deal to our Woodcock community so, if you'd like to send him a farewell message or photo please do (he's gonna miss you too).

And, stay turned for some new faces at Woodcock in 2022.
