William J. Carbone age 60, husband for 35 years of Florence Curatola Carbone, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.

He was born on April 17, 1952 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the only child of the late Nicola and Vita Fardella Carbone. He graduated from Niagara University with a bachelor's degree and had been a logistics executive for Superior Metal Trading.

"He was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, an avid Yankee's fan and enjoyed every minute with his loving family," his family said.

In addition to his wife Florence, Mr. Carbone is survived by three sons, Matthew W., Michael J., and Christopher N. Carbone all of Wilton; an aunt Josephine Lombardo of Woodbury, N.Y.; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dominick and Susan Curatola of New Rochelle, N.Y.; Steven and Maria Bucci of Rye Brook, N.Y.; John and Carol Lombardo of Woodbury, N.Y. as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 8, in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 26, at 10, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.
