Robert M. Biondi, MD, of Skillman, N.J. and West Tisbury, Mass., passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 7, 2015. He was born and raised in New York City. He was a graduate of St Peter's College in New Jersey and Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Neb. After serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1969, and achieving the rank of Captain, he moved his family to Connecticut where he began his practice as one the first pediatric allergists in Norwalk, Conn.

Starting as a solo practitioner, he grew his practice over 40 years into Allergy and Asthma Associates of Fairfield County before retiring in 2011. In that time he served as president of the Fairfield County Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Association, was a Senior Attending Physician and former Chief of Section of Allergy & Immunology, Department of Pediatrics, Norwalk Hospital. An Associate Clinical Professor at Yale, he acted as the co-director of the Pediatric Allergy Clinic from 1995 to his retirement.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Susan Biondi, loved by his three sons and their wives Nick, his wife Melissa; Mike, his wife Ginny; and Paul and his wife Carolyn and adored by his  eight grandchildren.

Bob was an avid reader and a constant seeker of knowledge. In his retirement he continued his education auditing courses at Princeton University. He was a faithful N.Y. Giants fan and he enjoyed summers on Martha’s Vineyard where he loved spending time on the beach with his wife, family, and grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, Oct. 12 at 9:45 a.m. in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, Hillsborough, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Skillman, N.J.
