Richard W. Paris, 71, of Danbury died on Monday Sept. 16, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

He ran a successful cabinetry business, Paris Design, in the Georgetown area, but his passion was cars. At the time of his death, along with his daughter, Mr. Paris was working to open Fenders, a place where people with a passion for all things automotive could come to talk shop.

He is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Paris, and both of his parents. He leaves behind his sister Pauline Bianco of Ridgefield; his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Jackie Paris of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his daughter Jennifer Paris and her fiancé Aaron Graves of Danbury; his grandchildren Amber and Drew Horvath; his step-grandchildren Cody and Alexa Graves and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy- Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury on Monday, Sept. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday Sept. 24, at 9:30 a.m. in  St. Peter Church, 115 Main Street, Danbury.

Interment will take place at the direction of the family.
