Richard Paul "Dick" Haeffele, age 76, of Blackstone, Va., formerly of Wilton, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria Hasso Haeffele; son, Bryan Douglas Haeffele of Bethel; daughter, Victoria Anne Boucher (Michael) and granddaughter, Mikayla Boucher, all of Shrewsbury, Mass.; sister, Selma Feick of Bloomington, Ill.; and two brothers-in-law, Michael Hasso of Fredericksburg and Peter Hasso of Blackstone.

Mr. Haeffele was a graduate of Wesleyan College in Bloomington, Ill., and was an advertising executive with the Wall Street Journal in New York City for 28 years.

"He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather," his family said. "His love of drawing was an attribute for his passion of art."
