Lucienne Morin, a Wilton resident for over 60 years, died in Bridgeport on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. She was 89 years old and had been living at The Watermark assisted living facility for several years.

One of 11 children, Lucienne Theresa Gosselin was born in Newport, Vt. July 9, 1923 to plumbing contractor Wilfred Gosselin and his wife Nathalie Logier Gosselin.

The young Ms. Gosselin moved to Bridgeport during WWII where she worked on an artillery shell assembly line. In 1947 she married Gerard Morin, her hometown sweetheart and moved to the Wilton Arms apartments where Mr. Morin was the first superintendent and she worked at the nearby Village Market. In 1962 they started Servco Oil where Mrs. Morin worked in the family business until 1985.

She is survived by two of her three sons, Andrew of Wilton and Michael of Stratford, her grandchildren Amy Mitchell, Christopher Morin and Siobhan Morin and great-grandchildren Davina, Caoilfhionn and Taidhgin.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, where she was a founding parishioner on Friday, Oct. 5, at 11, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Oct. 4, at Bouton Funeral Home, West Church Street, Georgetown between 6 and 9 p.m.
