Kathryn Ann Roberti, 71, of Newtown, who worked in hospital administration and taught at hospitals, died on Aug. 22. She was 71 and the mother of a Wilton resident.

Mrs. Roberti was born in Hackensack, N.J., daughter of the late Henry and Lucille Piper. She married Louis Roberti in February 1965. They lived in New Jersey before moving to Ridgefield, where they lived for 28 years and then lived in St. James, N.C., for 14 years before moving to Newtown in June of this year.

She attended Holy Name Nursing School in New Jersey, earned her bachelor's degree at Western Connecticut State University and earned her master's degree at New York Medical School. Her career included nursing and administration at Presbyterian Hospital, Holy Name Hospital, Danbury Hospital and teaching at Greenwich and Norwalk hospitals. She was active in community services in Southport, N.C., and was a trustee and chairman at Dosher Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Lou; son Scott and his wife Linda of New Fairfield; daughter Carolyn of Wilton; grandchildren Joseph, Nicholas, Isabella and Christopher; her brothers and sisters, Henry, Michael, Robert, Eileen, George and Patricia; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, on Saturday, Aug. 25. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown was in charge of arrangements.
