Jonathan Taffler, 54 of Wilton, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born Oct. 27, 1959 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated from Columbia University. He was the founder and president of Programmed Solutions and more recently president and co-founder of Spitfire Management.

“Jon was a force of nature, he was a pilot, a flight instructor, avid sportsman, and he loved to travel,” his family said. “Jon developed software; he possessed a photographic memory, and had an insatiable curiosity about the world. He found wonder in every day and his enthusiasm for life was palpable.”

Mr. Taffler is survived by his loving daughters, Brooke and Lindsay, his parents Sy and Elaine, sister Robin and husband Dick Dougherty, and nephew Casey Dougherty. He is also survived by Randi Shamitz, his former wife and loving mother to their children.

Mr. Taffler’s life will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 3, at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, N.Y.
