John Leslie Ferguson II, 73, of Wethersfield, died Saturday (June 15, 2013) at home in Wethersfield. Born in Montclair, NJ, he was the son of the late Leslie Inglis and Mary Carolyn (Jones) Ferguson and lived in Wilton for 29 years prior to moving to Wethersfield 18 years ago.

John graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Princeton and Columbia. He was the owner of Valpak of Greater Hartford. He was a Naval Supply Officer during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission, the Wilton Lacrosse Association and is a member of the Wilton Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

John is survived by three children and their mother; two sons, Brad Ferguson and his wife Sharon of Keene, NH and Chris Ferguson and his wife Pam of Wilton; a daughter, Heidi Ferguson of Norwalk and their mother Paula (Cronin) Ferguson of Wilton.

There will be no funeral services or calling hours. Burial will be private. The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel of Wethersfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
