Howard F. Fagan Jr., 70

Howard F. Fagan Jr., 70, of Wilton, Conn., died Jan. 17, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer that he fought with tremendous strength and dignity. He will be sorely missed.

Born in Stamford, Conn., on Jan. 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Howard F. Fagan Sr. and Margaret Fagan.

He was a member of the American Legion, Ischoda Yacht Club and former member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. Howard was happiest working on his (and many friends’) computers, spending time by the ocean, boating, camping, and with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 30 years, Linda, his four sons Derek Fagan of Plymouth, Mass., Neal Fagan of Stamford, Michael Fagan of Bethel, and Patrick Fagan of Wilton; his brother Bob Fagan and wife Sue of Louisville, Ky., his sister Maura Fagan of Louisville, Ky., his sister Suzanne Henning and husband Jack of Camp Hill, Pa., his best friends David Sanborn and Wayne Ely, eight nieces and nephews, five grandchildren and many, many friends.

Last, special thanks to the many doctors, nurses, and other staff at the Whittingham Cancer Center for their compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at 4 p.m., in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Wilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization about which Howard was extremely passionate, WoundedWarriorProject.org.
