Ellen B. Cooper, age 87 of Wilton, wife of the late Jacob Cooper, died Saturday, Oct. 27, at her home.

Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Nelson) Berglund, she was lived in Norwalk until moving to Wilton in 1960. Mrs. Cooper was very active in the United Covenant Church, and served as secretary for the Silvermine Volunteer Fire Company. A graduate of Norwalk High School, she worked for Gilbert and Bennett Manufacturing in Georgetown.

She is survived by her daughter Ellen "Nan" Cooper Shanahan and her husband David of Great Barrington, Mass.; a sister Anna Berglund Anderson of Norwalk; sister-in-law, Marion Berglund and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Arthur Berglund; Carl Berglund, Jr.; Josephine Haessig and Agnes Decker.

Graveside services officiated by the Rev. Earl Dunbar will be held at 1, on Friday, Nov. 9, at Hillside Cemetery, Wilton. A celebration of her life will be held at 11, on Saturday, Nov. 10, at United Covenant Church, 68 Westport Road, Wilton.
