Donald (Don) Crocket, age 80, husband of Janet Lee Crocket of Wilton, died in his home with his family by his side. Born Nov. 17, 1932 in Cranford, N.J., son of the late Roderick Crocket and Susan (Mathieson) Crocket, he was raised in Hartford.

A graduate of Hartford High School and UConn, he  served in U.S. Army Intelligence during the Korean War.

Mr. Crocket began his career at Pratt & Whitney and went on to follow his entrepreneurship spirit in many business endeavors. He loved sailing, tennis, baseball, and was an avid fan of UConn basketball.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 22 years, include his son, Samuel Crocket, and his wife, Jennifer of Oregon; step-daughter Jennifer Carozza and her husband Gregory of Fairfield along with his  grandchildren Connor, Kyle and Lindsay; brother David of Bethlehem, Pa.; as well as, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by two sons, John and Peter Crocket and seven of his brothers and sisters.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday, May 11, from 10 to noon at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street in Norwalk. A prayer service will take place at 11 with Rev. Karen Judd officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
