Carolyn Elizabeth Miska, 51

Carolyn Elizabeth (Blain) Miska of Wilton died suddenly Aug. 1, 2015.
Born Aug. 10, 1963, in Bellerose, N.Y., the daughter of William and Constance (Judd) Blain, she was the beloved wife of Walter Miska, mother of Alexandra and Mackenzie.
She is also survived by her brothers: William Jr., and Lewis Blain; a sister, Lauri Hansen and her husband Sven; and brother Nicholas Blain, as well as 10 nieces and nephews; Jessica, William, Courtney, Tyler, Zoe, Ella, April, Chelsea, Christopher and Cooper. She also leaves her beloved puppy, Sydney Rose.
Miska moved to Wilton in 1972, graduated from the Wilton High School class of 1981, and went to Norwalk Community College School of Nursing. Her career over the past 20 years has been full of joy, as she was a highly respected and much loved labor and delivery nurse.
“She loved God, her family, life and everyone that came in contact with her. She was a remarkable woman,” her family said.
Calling hours will take place on Aug. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, at Christ and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 75 Church Lane, Westport.
