The Conservation Commission and Wilton Land Conservation Trust will hold an open house at the Keiser property Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 to noon, rain or shine. The property is on Seeley Road, at its intersection with Cannon Road. Participants are asked to park on Seeley Road and look for guides by the barn. The purpose of the open house tour is to allow residents to see the property in advance of the town vote at a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m., at the Clune Center. Guides will be on hand to lead small groups around the 39-acre parcel. Participants will be able to see the many assets of the property that lead to the town and land trust\u2019s effort to protect the property, including views of meadows, stone walls, the Norwalk River, and the vista across the river valley. The property is proposed for protection with the purchase of a conservation easement on 39 acres. The cost of the easement is $2.5 million, with the land trust providing $300,00 and the town asking for the approval of $2.2 million. A vote will be taken at the Special Town Meeting.
